The 4-Way Locking Deluxe Cat Flap is the best way to give your cat more freedom or control her access to your home. The 4-way lock offers the ultimate in flexibility. Set the door to open, closed, in only or out only. Available in white, woodgrain and grey.
Small children can pass through the door. Read entire statement.
I've always bought Staywell cat flaps in the past but never had one with such a flimsy mechanism before. My cat just pushes his way through the locked cat flap on the left hand side as the lock only holds the bottom right hand corner. Just not fit for purpose and definitely not "4-Way Locking" as advertised. I have to block the flap each night with various heavy items to stop my cat escaping. Unfortunately I'm not able to replace easily as spent £200 having custom glass fitted to fit this model specifically. Extremely disappointed in this product and would definitely not recommend.
> PetSafe Response: Hi Mike, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We're sorry to hear your cat has figured out how to force his way in through the flap. We'll gladly pass this issue on to our engineers to make future improvements to our products. We've taken feedback on board from our customers and as a result our latest Microchip Cat Flap (PPA19-16145) has a dual-lock to prevent this from happening. It can also be retro-fitted into your existing cat flap cut-out (with small adjustments). If you'd like more information, please contact our Customer Care team who will be more than happy to help.
We've had 2 of these put into new double glazed doors. We were mystified as to how the cats were still getting out of the locked flap! The lock is on one side only so the cats simply force their way through on the other side. I thought we had inventive cats but a Google around shows this is not an uncommon problem. As the design stands they are useless. We have to put something in front of the flap at night once they are in or they just go walkabout again. Needs something to secure both sides.

When the flap is on 'in only' one of our cats simply pushes hard on it and the flap bends and pops open over the top of the red lock. Then the cats can't get back in because the flap is on the outside of the lock, making it 'out only' - they haven't discovered how to push it hard to get in. One of our previous cats simply pushed hard on the flap and broke it to get out.
> PetSafe Response: Hello, thank you for your comments and feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your cat pushes so hard on the door that the flap opens and then your cat is locked out. We've contacted you directly and advised you further to see if we can help the situation so that you will soon have a functioning flap again, and we have also passed your concerns on to our engineers and product designers to make improvements. Thanks again.
