This extra Receiver Collar can be used to add another dog to any PetSafe® In-Ground Fence™ system or as a replacement collar to the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence™ system.
This collar is not a complete system and needs to be used with a compatible transmitter.
We replaced a broken collar unit after just a few months of use by purchasing another one because the nodes snapped off, and now that replacement collar has had the very same thing happen to it after less than two months. While we are in between broken collars, we have to tie our dog up to keep her contained, which in turn made her bark, so we then spent another $250 or so on a barking collar to manage that interim problem. We have invested well in our dog containment system with Petsafe although we are now at the point where the family dog may have to go because the ongoing cost of replacing these collars is simply not feasible. We are as disappointed in this Petsafe product as our children will be with us if the family dog has to go elsewhere. :(
> PetSafe Response: Hi Waneka, thank you for providing your feedback and experience with our extra receiver collars. It is so strange to hear you have had a fault like this occur twice and we apologise for the impact this fault has had on the family and your pet. We understand our products are premium and are designed to withstand any challenges it may face. The collars are very durable and should not break. One of our Customer Care Specialists will be in contact with your shortly to discuss what we can do to ensure your pet stays safe at home with you and the family. Kind regards, PetSafe.
The collar is designed wrong with the whole weight fully loaded on the two pins that contact the dogs neck. As a result the pins break. The box is too heavy for the collar
> PetSafe Response: Hi Narelle, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback will be passed to our design team. In the mean time, one of our Customer Care Specialists will be in contact with you shortly.
