It is installed in the door of a bedroom.
It is a medium door for a small dog (miniature schnauzer).
Problems: it's rather small for my dog, it makes a lot of noise when it closes again.
I do think it is a good door for indoors and small dogs.
Thank you for your review.
The flap-opening for the different sizes are visible on the page. Maybe you would have needed the Large for your Schnauzer.
Depending on the door it is installed in (f.e. massive wood vs. composite door) the sound when the flap moves can be enhanced / dampened.
PetSafe® Customer Care Team
We've been using an older Staywell for several years and have been satisfied with it. But after 16 years and three different dogs using it, it was time for a replacement. This original Staywell door has nothing in common with our older model. It blows open all the time despite the fact, that our door is located in a protected courtyard. It is not very stabile and I don't expect it to last long.
Thank you for your comments on our Staywell® Original 2-Way Pet Door, Douglas. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the replacement door. We have reached out to you to see if we can help you and to make sure the flap is installed correctly and that the magnets are all in place. Hopefully, we will come to a solution. Thank you again for your review.
