ENGLISH > Magnet,s not good 20/03/2018

Purchased large dog flap , she got the hang of it straight away.
It is so noisy we can here it 3 rooms away and when the wind blows it just opens and closes all by itself.
This product has not been designed correctly and not enough trials would have been carried out or these faults would have been picked up.
The sensible flap would work on the dogs Microchip or infrared. No value for money.

Thank you for your comments on our Staywell® Original 2-Way Pet Door Large, Stuart. We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the pet door and that it does not meet your expectations. This 2-way flap is not designed to work with a dog's microchip or infra red key. This 2-way flap opens for an average dog pushing through the flap which is secured my magnets on the U shape, the flap and the frame. As the flap closes and engages the magnets, there will be an audible closing sound. We will pass your concerns on to our engineers for further testing. Thank you again for your review.
ENGLISH > draughts 21/01/2018

If like me, you need a flap to let multiple pets out to toilet without opening the back door and letting the icy air into your home several time a day, this is about as useful as cutting a hole in the door and tacking an old bit of plastic over the orifice. In fact the hole and plastic will be as effective but a lot cheaper.
This door is so draughty due to the large gap at the top. I installed one this morning and my feet are like blocks of ice because of the arctic breeze whistling through this flap.
It's be better not to have one in winter. Might be fine for warm weather but in winter, not at all. Since I installed it I've had to have the heating turned up to try to counteract the hefty draught blowing through the flap.
I'm about to seal it up until the summer which sort of defeats the object of my spending my hard earned money on it.
> PetSafe response: Thank you for your review, Pam, on our Staywell® Original 2-Way Pet Door. We are sorry to hear that there is a draught coming in. Please ensure the draught excluder (U-shape) is installed and that the magnets are in place so the flap closes properly after dogs use it. For times when the flap is not in use, we recommend using the locking barrier to close the flap completely and prevent any draughts. We will pass your concerns also on to our engineers to make adjustments for future pet doors. Thanks again for your comments.
